Created by the team behind Camp Manitou, Firefolk is a week-long, co-ed summer camp hosted at our flagship property in the Belgrade Lakes region of Maine. A different kind of camp, built around adventure, zero screens, friendship, independence and the simple magic of spending a week outside together.

For more than 75 years, Camp Manitou has been shaping summers with tradition, adventure, and a love for the outdoors. Founded in 1947 in Oakland, Maine, it has grown into one of the nation’s premier sleepaway camps, welcoming campers from across the U.S. and around the world.

The facilities.
Firefolk will be hosted in the Belgrade Lakes region of Maine at the Camp Manitou flagship properties. We will be utilizing the facilities at both of our properties so campers have access to everything we have to offer - the two properties are a 4 min walk apart.
